VIDEO: Austin to Sec. Panetta: You Can’t Balance the Budget on the Backs of the Military

In a hearing of the House Armed Services Committee, U.S. Congressman Austin Scott (GA-08) reminded Defense Secretary Leon Panetta that he did not vote for Sequestration and asked the Secretary to utilize every opportunity possible to tell the President that Defense cannot be the only department making significant cuts:

"That is the statement that we need to hear from you over and over and over again from those of you at the DOD-- you can't balance the budget on the backs of the military."
