Press release, American Family Business Institute
WASHINGTON, D.C. – The American Family Business Institute (AFBI) today proudly announced that 20 Members of Congress will receive the organization’s 1st Annual Champion of American Family Businesses Award.
“These legislators have shown particularly strong leadership on working to repeal the federal estate tax, which is the number one reason that family businesses and farms struggle to survive from one generation to the next. These Members of Congress have also worked to open credit, cut individual and business taxes, and end burdensome regulations for our economy’s main job creating sector—family businesses. On behalf of family businesses across America, this award is a token of our appreciation for the work they do.”
AFBI’s Champion of American Family Businesses Award goes to Members of Congress for their extraordinary work to help protect and preserve the legacy of family businesses in Congress. AFBI award recipients support legislation that eliminates the estate tax, cuts individual and business taxes, and ends harmful regulations for family business owners.
